What if?
What if you lived a life without pain, disease, and joint inflammation? In his book “Superlife”, Darin Olien presents a blueprint for nutrition, and living in general, that has allowed him to achieve what he refers to as a Superlife.
The main point of this book is about taking control of what you put into your body. Darin has 6 Principles (or Life Forces as he calls them) , and goes into detail on each if these in Part 1 if his book. Here is a brief overview if each “Life Force”
Part 1
- Nutrition: What you eat matters! Darin goes over what Whole Foods Actually are, and where you can get them.
- Hydration: It’s not JUST about water. Darin covers how being Dehydrated leads to fatigue, brain fog, and dizziness, and how to avoid it.
- Oxygenation: Our bodies are fueled by Oxygen. Darin explains how to breathe for optimal oxygenation.
- Exercise: Being active, and getting Daily exercise boosts metabolism and reinforces the other “Life Forces”
- Alkalization: Darin says that no virus, bacteria, or disease can live inside an alkalized body.
- Attitude: Your attitude dictates your outcome. What you think and WHY you think it are extremely important.
Part 2
Part 2 contains practical guides and feedback such as:
- How to eat
- Gutting and Stocking your pantry
- Lists of whole foods, vitamins, and minerals
- 10 day eating plan
- Recipes
- Supplements
Conclusion:
At a quick glance, this book is filled with gold nuggets about what foods to eat to be better balanced. I really like how at the end of his chapters, he has a quick overview that hits the main points.
My plan is to give this book a 2nd glance, and use it as a reference guide in the future for looking up whole foods!
